1800 lives lost in human trafficking: Ramoowalia
Ludhiana: Former Union Minister Balwant Singh Ramoowalia has come down heavily on the state government for its alleged failure in curbing illegal trafficking in the state.
Ramoowalia said that more than 1800 youth have lost their lives and around 8000 women have been forced into prostitution in countries like Britain, Ukraine, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia after felling prey to the trap of travel agents.
He urged Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal to follow path of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and go for a crackdown on such illegal travel agents who were a big threat to the law and order of entire state. Source
