Human trafficking case: Five more minor girls rescued


Mandsaur/Bhopal: Six days after a special police team busted a human trafficking racket in Mandsaur district, and rescued 7 minor girls, cops on Wednesday yet again succeeded in rescuing five more minors.
All the girls are aged between three to six years, police said. 
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) GK Pathak, till now they have rescued total 17 minor girls since the human trafficking racket was first unearthed on March 9. 
The police have so far arrested 19 people and 24 are accused of being involved in the case.   
Out of the 17 girls, nine have been safely sent to their parents and police is trying to locate the families of the rest eight.
 
Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, Pathak had said the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of police had been receiving numerous complaints about the illegal trade of minor girls in areas inhabited by the Bacchras, a local tribe.
 
Police told Dainik Bhaskar that most girls, who were rescued, were abducted from Indore while some were kidnapped from Khargone and Badwah. 
 
Talking to newspersons from a Bacchra locality near Malhargad, nine-year-old Sakshi (name changed) said she was selling balloons at Indore's Gandhi Hall area when a young man lured her into buying a chocolate, kidnapped her and brought her here.
 
One Rakesh had agreed on buying Sakshi for Rs 40,000, police said.
